Liz Evan

Elizabeth Evan holds a Juris Doctor from Belmont University, where she graduated cum laude. Among other awards, Liz received the outstanding performance awards in insurance law, tort law, appellate practice, and legal ethics. She served as an article editor for the school’s Law Review as well.

Liz has been a member of an SBC church since childhood, served abroad with IMB missionaries, and is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. She served on the Sexual Abuse Task Force of the Southern Baptist Convention at the appointment of SBC President Ed Litton, helping to spearhead reform and engage survivor care, having substantial experience engaging survivor communities within the Convention. Liz has consulted with multiple pastors, lay leaders, and clergy abuse survivors who advocate for the criminalization of clergy sexual abuse in their home states, having successfully spearheaded such a statute in Tennessee.
