Domestic Abuse Advocacy in 2025

In 2025, it is our prayer that the church’s response to domestic abuse be marked by unity, love, and justice. At Give Her Wings, we are excited about what the Lord is doing through our ministry, and we want you to be involved throughout 2025!

Our mission to survivors of domestic abuse is twofold: we serve survivors through tangible community and financial support and through trauma-informed education for the church. We exist because the church has consistently neglected domestic abuse survivors, due to insufficient education and misguided theological beliefs. As a result, we aim to support survivors through our campaigns and educate the church through the Academy.

Campaigns

Throughout each year, we fundraise for 5 campaigns that help all 48 mamas feel loved and seen. We are currently fundraising for our Valentine’s Day Campaign! Every Valentine’s Day, we send each mama a self-care package that we pray will help them spend time prioritizing their mental, physical, and spiritual health. We will raise funds for our Mother’s Day (April), Pantry Fill (April), Back to School (June), and Christmas (November) campaigns throughout the rest of the year. Each package has a unique impact on our mamas by meeting some of their physical, mental, and spiritual needs. Academy

It is our prayer that one day, survivors will not need Give Her Wings. We cannot achieve this without the church acknowledging its shortcomings and being open to learning from experts on how to effectively respond to domestic abuse. Give Her Wings created the Academy in response to the church’s need for trauma-informed education. 

Since 2019, we have seen 12 classes graduate from the year-long course. As a result, counselors, pastors, lay-members, church leaders, and first responders have gone on to serve and advocate for domestic abuse survivors in their communities. We are so grateful for the needed change we have witnessed in these communities! 

As the needs of church members change, we aim to adapt as well. With that in mind, we have some exciting changes coming to the Academy that we believe will make it more accessible to everyone. Church and Business Partnership

In 2025, we want your church or your business to be involved with the GHW mission!

There are two ways your church can partner with Give Her Wings: Become a financial partner or equip your leaders and your members through the Academy! If you are a church leader or a church member and you would like to partner with Give Her Wings in 2025, we would love to set up a virtual meeting to discuss this partnership. We are also excited to begin partnering with businesses in 2025! If you are a business owner passionate about serving moms affected by domestic abuse, we would love to hear from you.
