This month we’re sending a small gift in the mail to our Give Her Wings Angels (monthly donors).
Through their generosity we give grants to two mothers (and their children) each month who've recently left abuse marriages - usually losing their church communities and Christian family members as a result. We believe these women are spiritual widows, and their children, spiritual orphans; and because of that, we believe we are called to help get much-needed resources to these families.
Each vetted family is given a $1500 grant to help with expenses involved in the aftermath of leaving an abusive home. For the following two years, they will receive gifts through our fundraising campaigns: Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Pantry Fill, Back-to-School, Christmas, and birthdays.

Right now, we have a waiting list of 20 mothers in emergency need, and as we look ahead to 2023, we’re praying it would become possible to move from adopting two Mamas per month, to three. To help a third mom each month would cost $1500 in new Angel giving per month.
Here's a breakdown of how we could help these women together for those who are able and interested in becoming Angels:
15 new Angels, at $100/ mo for a year
30 new Angels, at $50/mo for a year
60 new Angels, at $25/mo for a year

Below are descriptions of the 20 women on our waiting list:
Mama #1: A former overseas missionary with four children who all sleep on the floor of a home.
Mama #2: Mom with four young children, trying to survive financially.
Mama #3: Mom with four children, unable to pay for their required trauma therapy in the aftermath of abuse.
Mama #4: She has escaped abuse and is living in a small apartment with her 3 teenage children, with no financial support from her ex-husband.
Mama #5: Currently resides in a safe house after escaping abuse. All of her children have special needs, and no financial support.
Mama #6: Penniless with three children, trying to set up a new place to live.
Mama #7: Has three young boys, doing her best to make it on a tight budget after leaving abuse.
Mama #8: Living in a homeless shelter and is separated from some of her children until she can get housing.
Mama #9: Has health problems and is staying with her children in poor living conditions in a tiny apartment w/o air conditioning.
Mama #10: Has older children and very little support.
Mama #11: Living in a friend's basement apartment with her four sons.
Mama #12: Living in a camper with her three children who are 5 and under. No family support.
Mama #13: Two children, a 9-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl; no church support and little family support.
Mama #14: Was a missionary for many years. Has five children, including one with severe medical problems.
Mama #15: Has a 5-year-old son, is experiencing malicious litigation from her abuser. Dire need of financial/legal assistance.
Mama #16: Is a homeschooling mother, and has one child with significant special needs. Is trying to get employment that will accommodate the situation. Father continues to cause harm.
Mama #17: Has five boys in a two-bedroom home, while navigating serious medical needs that have landed her in the hospital. Several of her children have special needs.
Mama #18: Lives with her three children, including an infant, in low-income housing and is barely making ends meet financially.
Mama #19: This mama is separated across the country from her children.
Mama #20: Receives no help from family and church does not generally help with her deep financial need.
Because the need is so great this year, we’d like to offer several special ways to say thank-you to any new Angels who join us before the end of 2022.
